Beetroot Peas pulao



Soak a cup of  cleaned Basmathi rice with 1 3/4 cup of good water

Grate a Beetroot and keep aside

Heat a laddle of oil in Cooker,
Season whole garam masalas
Add sliced 1 big onion, 3 green chillies , saute lightly
Add grated Beetroot with 1 spoon of ginger garlic paste, 1/2 spoon chillypowder
and 1/2 spoon of Dhaniya powder
Saute for a minute
Add 1 tb.spoon of curd, Saute well.



Finally add the rice with soaked water
1 tsp salt
coriander leaves
2 spoon of ghee or butter
1/2 cup fresh peas
Mix altogether
Close lid and leave a whistle in high flame.
Off the stove immediately
Let the pressure releases.

Mix altogether evenly , Serve with chips or Raita

A perfect and healthy dish for kid's lunch box.





Spinach Egg Bhurji



1. Palak egg rice
2. Palak egg masal Roast
even with Bread , chapathi roll....

Preparation:

Heat some oil in a kadaai, season mustard and cumin seeds.
Add finely chopped 1 big onion, 2 green chillies
saute well.

Add 1/2 spoon of  gingergarlic paste, saute for a while
Add 1 cup of finely chopped Spinach leaves
Saute for a minute.


Then add 1 finely chopped tomato, 
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 spoon chilly powder 
salt
Saute all till mashed consistency

Now add,

4 broken eggs and salt
Scramble well.



For Rice:

Just add cooked rice and some salt
Mix well and Pack for lunch...
its yummy 
And easy to make.....




Can roll with Roast and Serves in Breakfast or dinner...
Can roll with Chapathi....
its our dish, our wish ......






Palak Semia Pulao



Preparation

Boil 1 cup of  Semia with water and strain it.


Cook 15 to 20 palak leaves with 3 Greenchillies and cashews, strain water and 

grind with
few Gingergarlic paste, turmeric powder and 1/2 spoon Garammasala powder.





Heat some oil in Kadaai, season some cumin seeds and saute well the onion and some roasted peanuts.
Once onion is well sauted, add the grounded paste,
saute well till raw flavour goes.
Then add in Semia and salt, mix well together.

Serve hot with raita, chips....

Note: can make this recipe with rice idiyappam instead of semia








Banana Pudding



Preparation Method

To 3/4 cup of powdered sugar , add 1 egg and beat well till color gets pale and frothy.
Add in riped and mashed 1/2 cup banana and melted 1/2 cup butter and beat well together.

In case of avoiding egg, add additional 1/2 cup banana mash to get soft texture.




Add in 1 cup of Whole wheat flour and mix well together.
Add some raisins.

If the batter is too thick,  add some milk.

Transfer it to greased and dusted baking tin,
spread some raisins and almonds on top.




Bake it in pre heated oven for 10 to 15 mts at 180 * or 200* celcius.

Prick in with knife or toothpick to find the finishing stage, 
1. Aroma comes well finally and
2. will not stick in knife

Once baked , transfer it to plate or wire rack , allow it to cool.
Slice and store in a container.


Note: Incase of not using oven, can steam cook with stove.



Adding riped banana gives good aroma without adding any essence,
gives soft texture without adding bakingpowder
and tastes yummy.....






Sweet and Spicy Cornflakes


Preparation Method



Heat 2 tsp of oil, Roast some roasted dal, broken cashew, curryleaves in medium flame.
When it is half done, add some kismis and let it roast .
When everything turns well roasted , addin the mixture of salt, turmeric powder, pinch of sugar, 1/4 spoon of chilly powder, few sambar powder to get the aroma of all spices.
Add in 2 cups of cornflakes, toss well till cornflakes marinates well and crispy too.



Can add Peanuts and crushed garlic too if liked the aroma of garlic.
Store it in air tight container and serve with a cup of tea...



Plantain Flower Parathaa



Preparation Method

Clean and chop the plan.flower.
Saute well with some oil, add cuminseeds, chilly powder, garammasaala powder, salt , saute for a while.

Let it cool.
Add wheat flour and make a soft dough.
Prepare Paratha, serve with Tomato chutney.

As we know the benefits of plantain flower and how the kids skip this to eat,....
Just make like parathaa or vadai or in any form how they like and serve atleast once  a week, especially to girl kids after matured.








Mushroom Wheat Briyani



Ingredients

Wheat rava - 1 cup
Water - 3 cup
Mushroom chopped  - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 1 t.spoon
green chilly - 2
chilly powder - 1/2 t.spoon
Garam masala powder - 1/2 t.spoon
oil - 1 laddle
Salt, mintleaves and coriander leaves

Method


Heat oil in a kadaai, Season mustard seeds (or cinnamon,cloves) 
 Add onion, Tomato, chillies and saute lightly.
Add ginger garlic paste, mint leaves and saute well.

Add mushroom, chilly powder and garammasala powder, saute well till water consistency goes off from mushroom.
Add water, salt, let it boil .
Then add rava and cook in medium flame.

Close the lid and it gets ready in 2 mts.
Sprinkle Coriander leaves.


If prefered add some ghee finally and mix well.
